Spicy Eggnog Demi Tasse


1 cup Egg nog
1 Star Anise seed pod
1 Egg White
2 tbsp Spiced Rum
Generous pinch cloves, cardamom and cinnamon


Heat egg nog and Star Anise seed pod in a small saucepan just until bubbles appear around the edges and eggnog is hot. Remove from heat. Remove anise with a slotted spoon and discard. Combine egg white, rum and seasonings in a blender. Whirl until blended. Continuing to whirl, add warm egg nog, a tablespoon at a time, gradually increasing until all the eggnog is added. Pour into demi tasse cups and serve with anise flavoured mini biscotti. Mmmmm delicious!
